Project 365: October Part I • Rhode Island Family Photographer

So now it's October.  I'm still chugging away at my project 365.  As of today, there are 70 days left in the year.  In case you were wondering.  It's getting harder because the days are getting shorter, the good light is fading faster, and I know I'm going to have to start shooting inside more again soon.  Inside is not necessarily bad.  I just love the great outdoors here in Rhode Island!  I can only hope we'll get a little bit of snow between now and December 31 (don't kill me, snow-weary Rhode Islanders) because I do love taking photos in the snow.  Just a little snow.  That's all.

It seems like October may be the month where I take Crazy Cat Lady to a whole new level.  My little ball of fluff shows up quite a bit in these photos.  I've been taking advantage of the warm, hazy late afternoon autumn sun.  It's ok, you can have an intervention for me if you want (or let me know that you support my Cat Habit).

Other than that, what do we have?

  • Some of the last fresh veggies of the season
  • A visit to Narragansett Town Beach on a cloudy day
  • Other visitors from the natural world such as pinecones and some fuzzy stuff (so technical) from a tree in my yard
  • An outtake from a session in Narragansett
  • Lilacs blooming in October.  OK then.

Check out below for the full series.  Indicate in the comments if you, too, are a cat person or if you think I might need to step away from the kitty.  As always lens & setting info is included.
