I first met Julia, a South Kingstown High class of 2016 senior, back in the summer. I got to know a bit about her (a few tidbits: she's a writer, a Girl Scout, she's taken some photography classes at school and I loved hearing about those classes, and she was wearing Birkenstocks...I love Birks!) and we planned her upcoming senior photo session. Meeting new people has got to be the most awesome part of my job!

We brainstormed on ideas and locations for her senior shoot, and eventually settled on Camp Hoffman in Kingston, RI. Julia has attended this camp as both a camper and counselor in training and her description of the camp made me SO excited to shoot there.

Our shoot was in mid-September; we met at the camp entrance one late Saturday afternoon and when Julia led me in and showed me around I was in awe! The tall pine trees, the lake, the gorgeous light she'd described perfectly to me...all these factors made for an amazing shoot. We even got wind that they would be shooting a movie at Camp Hoffman in the coming weeks (hello, is Johnny Depp in it?!) Julia was the most wonderful subject and I wish her the best of luck in achieving all of her dreams. SO exited to be delivering her prints to her this week!
