Narragansett Sunrise • Rhode Island Maternity Photographer
I'm generally an early riser ("sleeping in" on the weekends means I wake up at 6:30 a.m.!) That said, I still love sleep, and normally the only thing that will cause me to set my alarm at a time prior to 5 a.m. is a flight to a Caribbean island.
And sunrise maternity sessions.
It's not often that I get to do sunrise sessions, but they are the absolute best. And maternity sessions are some of my favorites...I feel privileged to be able to see a family being born. So this session was bound to be a favorite.
On a recent hot summer morning, I met mama-to-be Nicole (and dad-to-be Sebastien) bright and early (5:15 a.m., anyone?) at Narragansett town beach. Their little guy will be making his appearance in less than two months now. As we made our way down to the Dunes Club area where we had our shoot, Nicole told me about how she's been running during her whole pregnancy. She may be my new hero. Running as a non-pregnant lady is a nice challenge for me but she's running with a whole other person currently residing in her so...you rule, Nicole.
Take a look below to see what we captured at our session. Special thanks to my mom for sewing the DIY maternity dress (want a tutorial? Let me know in the comments!); H&M for the flower crown so my bad craft skills never have to be seen again; and Sebastien for being a first-class dress skirt thrower (is that a thing?!) I'd love to see you for a sunrise session. Get in touch and let's make that happen.
