Point Judith Senior Session | RI Senior Photographer
Class of 2021 seniors are facing a year of uncertainty. They saw last year’s seniors have their senior year dramatically changed by covid, and they themselves are dealing with a huge amount of unknown. Will they be at school in person or not? Will their extracurricular activities, events, prom, and graduation occur? It’s a lot to deal with.
That said, senior photos are still happening. They seem to give this year’s seniors a sense of normalcy, which I totally understand! As a RI senior photographer, I’m happy to be able to provide that little shred of normalcy to these students. One senior I recently had the pleasure of photographing was Beth, who came down from Massachusetts. I photographed Beth’s cousin three years ago and I was happy to meet her! Beth’s mom explained that Beth had a lot of good memories of coming to Point Judith with her grandfather as a child, so we picked the area right around the Point Judith lighthouse as our location.
Our session took place on a super warm July evening. Thank goodness we were close to the ocean where it was a little cooler! Beth and I chatted about what the last few months have been like for her as well as what she likes doing (she’s been dancing ballet for years) and what it’s like being a teenager who doesn’t really get to see her friends (insert a whole lot of video chatting). We took photos on the rocks near the ocean, on a path to the water, and around the lighthouse park, including some photos with the lighthouse in the background…definitely don’t want to leave that out. Beth was so easygoing and I loved getting to know her more during out session. I wish her the best during her upcoming senior year and beyond. Check out just a few of the photos from our session below!
