Newport Family Session • RI Family Photographer
Chances are that most of you have friends who you met over the internet. Ever since its inception, the world wide web has given us more and more ways to connect with people both near and far.
I'm no exception to this. There are many people who I've met online and who are very important to me. I've met these friends everywhere. Lots come from Facebook but there are others I've met in other ways. I have a small group of friends who met through an online journaling community just about twenty years ago. Most of us still talk to this day, though only a few of us have met others in person. We've seen each other through relationships, marriages, divorces, births, deaths, moves, pets, jobs, and more. Just the same as "in person" friends do.
Several weeks ago, I got to both meet and photograph one of these longtime friends. We don't live too far apart--our states are right next door--but somehow we've never met in person until now. It was so amazing to finally see someone (and her family) who you've known for just about half your life, and even better to take their photos. As a RI family photographer, this was the best kind of session!
We met at one of my favorite locations in Newport. It was a cloudy day, but still a busy evening in Newport with lots of people walking on nearby Cliff Walk. Our session was lots of fun (I even heard that I may be kind of funny, according to at least one of the kids...I try!). Check out some of the photos from this fun session below!
