Black Point Family Portrait Session | RI Family Photographer
Now that it’s nearly spring, I’m finally catching up on blogging some of my fall sessions. I love fall family photo sessions, especially when that fall day turns out to be over 70 degrees and feels more like summer. As a RI family photographer, that is a dream come true.
That was the case at a November family session at Black Point in Narragansett. I worked with Dad to plan this session; his family had not had any photos together nor had he had any photos with his wife in a very long time. We decided on an early November session, right before we set the clocks back, and picked Black Point in Narragansett for the location. Black Point is great because it has woods, paths, and rocks by the ocean all in one place.
When you plan ahead, you never know what the weather for any given day will be. Anytime you get towards the end of the year, that situation is multiplied. Will it snow? Will it be hot? maybe both on the same day, even at the same time? Possible. There’s always the option to reschedule if weather’s bad, but being able to have a session on the planned day is ideal. That was the case for our session. The day was warm and humid, like an early summer day instead of a week into November. Black Point was packed with others enjoying the weather, spending time together, fishing, dog walking, and more. We walked all around taking photos, talking about how they hadn’t had any done since their son was small. Now he’s an adult in college. I love being able to capture these important moments. The session was fun and easy, and I loved spending time with this family. Take a look below to see a few of the images from our session.
