10 Random Facts About Your Photographer • RI Family Photographer

As a RI family photographer, I have the privilege to meet so many different people.  It's such a pleasure to get to know all my clients and learn about them.  I also have to say that my young subjects keep me in the know on what's current in the world of movies, TV shows and popular toys and characters so I thank them for that!

While I get to learn a lot about my clients, I don't always share a lot about me.  So I figured it would be fun to turn the tables and do a blog with 10 random facts about me.  Ready to learn all kinds of wacky things about me?  Read on!

1.  I'm the oldest of five children.  I'm also the only girl.

Yes, I have four younger brothers.  I won't lie...there were a few times I really wished for a sister, but it was actually really fun growing up with four younger brothers and I would not have it any other way.  Plus, now I have great sisters-in-law, too.

2.  I'm afraid of bridges.  Like really afraid.

I'll drive over them when I have to, but it's a white knuckle ride all the way!

3.  I'm a total cat person.

This is probably pretty obvious by now, right?!  If it was a possibility, I'd adopt All The Kitties

4.  Dogs are pretty cool, too, though, and we now have a puppy.

His name is Lemmy, he's a pit bull/cattle dog/Malamute mix, and he's pretty funny.

5.  My hair is naturally curly.  However, it was stick straight until I was 13 years old.

Yes, that's right.  I had a perm (don't judge me, it was the 90's) that I thought was lasting forever until I realized that my hair had actually become curly.  Apparently it's not uncommon.  I don't mind it, even though I have no idea how to really do hair.

6.  I have Addison's disease.

Addison's disease is an autoimmune disease, and it means my adrenal glands don't work, so my body doesn't produce cortisol.  This means I have no natural reaction to any type of stress.  I was really sick for a long time before I finally was diagnosed, but now I'm a lot better.  I have to take steroids every day for the rest of my life.

7.  I love to surf.

Like love. Love.  Love to surf.  I surf all year round here in RI and I've traveled all over New England and to California, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Barbados, and Puerto Rico all in the name of finding and riding waves.

8.  I have five tattoos.

I got the first 3 when I was 19, the fourth when I was 25 and the last one when I was 30.  I need another one!

9.  When I was about 4, I wanted to be both a cheerleader and a ballerina when I grew up.

Clearly life had other plans for me, although I still dream of taking ballet classes sometimes.

10.  I have the same thing for breakfast every.  Single.  Day.

What can I say, I'm consistent...and I really love my breakfast!  In fact, I actually wrote a blog about my breakfast smoothie to share its yumminess with the world.
