Azalea Garden Princess Session | RI Children's Photographer
It’s been quite a past few months, hasn’t it?! Everyone has been impacted in different and often far reaching ways by coronavirus. I’ve very much missed seeing all my clients. I’ve missed taking photos of kids and families so much! As a RI children’s photographer, it was very strange to just stop doing my job for over two months. I know there are others out there with different jobs who have also been in a similar situation. Fortunately over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been able to start taking photos outdoors again. This is fantastic for those who have been waiting for photos for quite awhile, and I can’t deny that it makes me happy as well.
Recently I had a princess photo session at Kinney Azalea Gardens in Kingston. We were so fortunate to be able to have this session when the beautiful azaleas were in bloom, providing a pretty backdrop for our session. My lovely subject, Miss J, got to wear one of the newest dresses from my princess closet! This blue dress is great for young ladies in the size 5-7 range and features some really pretty butterfly details. It’s fun for twirling and since it’s short, it’s not hard to move around in.
Miss J twirled, danced, picked flowers, and posed beautifully. I’ve taken her photo several times since she was a baby and I can’t believe how grown up she’s getting these days! We talked all about what she’s been doing in school…she’s in kindergarten this year and has been handling distance learning like a champ. Her mom’s a teacher as well and mom has been holding down the fort at home while also teaching from home. Shout out to all the parents who have been working from home and managing kids 24/7 during this. Miss J’s been spending quite a bit of quality time with her little brother these past few months and I think she was happy to be able to get out on her own a bit and be a princess! Sometimes I’d love to do the same thing…how about you?
