July is my favorite month. And with my favorite month has come my favorite topic ever for this project: backlight. As a southern Rhode Island children's photographer, this is something I constantly seek out during photo sessions and when I scout locations, so to have this as something I'm looking for all month long? Awesome!

You may remember that June wasn't the best month for my Project Light, but July has been much better so far. It even saw me getting up super early on a few days. Sure, part of this was due to the steroids I had to be on for poison ivy (psst...did you see my blog about natural poison ivy remedies? If not, click here!) but it's nice to see the sun rise, especially in the summer when it happens so early. I got to see a gorgeous sunrise at Narragansett Beach one recent morning. July also has lots of cat photos so far which should make Lionel lovers happy.
