Project Light: April I • South County RI Children's Photographer

Spring has arrived which means that the weather has been fantastically un spring-like.  This isn't concerning in any way since I've lived in New England my whole life and I know it will be warm soon.  Like maybe in June, but let's hope it's before then.

Anyhow, April is the fourth month of my Project Light project.  The theme for this month is shadows and light.  This theme makes me so happy.  I love shadows.  They shape light, give dimension to light, make it beautiful.  When I meet people I notice how they are standing in light and how shadows fall on their face and how light catches in their eyes.  It's something I can't help.

So for the first two weeks of April I've found shadows and light everywhere I've gone.  In my own home, in the Wakefield mill building where my studio is, on Narragansett beach, in a cemetery...they seem to be everywhere I look.  There's a good possibility we are all being stalked by shadows!

Look below for the shadows and light for the first half of April.  Shockingly, there are no cats!  Lionel took a photo vacation the first half of the month but he'll be back, don't worry.
