Josie's Cake Smash • Rhode Island Child Photographer
If it's your birthday, I hope you're having cake. And if it's your first birthday, I sure hope you're having a cake smash!
Josie recently came to see me for her cake smash. It seems like I was just shooting her mom's maternity photos, and now Josie is nearly one. I love when babies and children come to see me, and this is no exception. This cake smash gave me the opportunity to transform my Peace Dale, Rhode Island studio into a whimsical party fairy land. (I'm not sure if that's a real thing, but if it is, I want to live there!) Josie came with several outfits and a very special custom-made hat by Sarah Begin. The beautiful cake for this cake smash was provided by Isis Cakes of Jamestown, RI.
We weren't sure how Josie would react to the cake since she's never had sugar before, but after a few moments examining her cake, she definitely got into it. Especially the frosting. She may have been a bit more ladylike about her smashing than some (though she thoroughly enjoyed pushing her cake all around!) but girlfriend was having an awesome time.
