Crunchy leaves underfoot. The smell of wood smoke in the air. Apple cider. All of these things are part of autumn in Rhode Island.

As a RI children's photographer, each year I look forward to autumn because it makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. The changing leaves mixed with gorgeous light make for some stunning memories to hang on the wall. This year I was even more anxious for those leaves to change; I had a very special princess dress to use for some very limited autumn sessions.

Miss M got to be the model for this dress. We took a drive the Great Swamp in South Kingstown. The leaves were gorgeous, the orange wing chair I brought along made the perfect accessory, and mom was on hand to throw some leaves at opportune times!.
